Academic Article Withdrawn Following “Serious and Credible” Threats of Violence – Quillette
This article is about an academic paper with controversial (i.e. somewhat positive) views on colonialism. As this article mentions, Taylor and Francis withdrew this paper because of threats of violence against the author and the journal editor.
I wonder what this means? Are libraries supposed to withdraw their own printed copies? Has the digitized version disappeared from the databases?
I also ponder what such a trend might mean for libraries, which mostly have FAR more controversial materials than this article.
